my "last frontier" antler necklace is in march's issue of ELLE! it came out of a series of souvenirs inspired by issues in alaskan environmentalism. you can purchase it here.
I had never made an engagement ring before, but when my friend came to me with the request of one with a raw diamond, i jumped on it. this one is palladium with a 3ct raw diamond set in it, and diamonds flush set around the sides. the other is palladium with a garnet i cut myself. it was fun to search through ebay to find the "perfect" raw diamond. they come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and brilliancy. this one was neat because it came to a point on either side; with 8 less-defined facets. i liked that it was slightly shimmery:
i feel so incredibly honored to be in a show next to such amazing artists as sondra sherman, bettina speckner, and esther knobel, to name a few. it's at sienna gallery until dec. 31. these are images of sondra sherman and bettina speckner pieces.
i have been looking at rocks for the last hour. if you are as obsessed with sparkly gems as i am, check out wright's rock shop for some sexy shots of sparkly rocks. it's funny, i've always been fascinated with rocks, though, when i was young i really liked smooth, tumbled rocks instead.
