i have been looking at rocks for the last hour. if you are as obsessed with sparkly gems as i am, check out wright's rock shop for some sexy shots of sparkly rocks. it's funny, i've always been fascinated with rocks, though, when i was young i really liked smooth, tumbled rocks instead.

shawn creeden creates beautiful animals. i traded a few necklaces for this amazing embroidery. i asked him to re-create an encounter in alaska when i felt so very small:

open market and la times magazine!

stacy and i once again are joining the sowa open market this sunday, oct 5! it is on harrison ave, right next to the sowa building, from 10-5.
and also, my jewelry will make an appearance in the oct. issue of the la times magazine! i believe it comes out this sunday, with the newspaper.

Open Market This Weekend in Providence!

Stop by, it's going to be really great! Stacy and I have a tent together, and our good friends Ashley and Liz will be selling their fabulous jewelry as well.  The Providence Open Market is in Lippit Park in the East End, from 11am-5pm.  If you can't make this one, I will be in the Boston open market September 28th and October 26th.

backpacking!

i've been backpacking in maine, and therefore haven't really had a chance to really work on much.   i really loved the places that supposedly had views, and when you got there all you saw was a misty expanse of white nothingness.

triple threat!

pieces from my plexiglass series are on display at sienna gallery, in lenox, ma.  the show is called triple threat.  what a badass name, right?  triple threat!  check it out: july 10-aug 4.  the other artists participating are hisano takei and stacey lee webber.  they have some pretty sweet stuff.

i attempt to take pictures of my jewelry on the body, i've found that my models stole the show.  first, sexy stacy, then the adorable grazi.  those lovely eyes.  where's the jewelry?

providence open market!

stacy and i have a booth at the providence open market this fall.  the date is: september 6, 11-5pm.  i'll have alaska jewelry and cast sterling silver jewelry for sale, and stacy has some awesome mini chair earrings, and cast branches!

it's a new shop that opened in brooklyn.  look at them floors.

 you can also look at/purchase pieces from the alaska series at rogues gallery in portland maine!  they carry some pretty sweet silkscreened/over-dyed/rust-stained/soft as hell t-shirts.   being the mainer that i am, i am a sucker for the maine-influenced graphics and scenery.  

SMFA Sidewalk Sale!

Stacy and I have a table at the SMFA sidewalk sale this Friday, 5/9, and Saturday, 5/10!  10am-5pm.  Because of the rain, it will probably be in the atrium of SMFA.  Otherwise, it will be outside.

giant baby heads

you know, i've never really been a fan of baby art, but i just love the new sculptures outside of the mfa.  i'm not sure why i'm so captivated by them, maybe simply because they are giant baby heads.  try going by the mfa at night.  they are lit up, like creepy guardians of the museum.

there's a few posts written about my jewelry:  cool hunting, and the blog called my love for you is like a stampede of horses.  these are really great sites, you should check them out!  josh of cool hunting also has another great site, which i love: craplinks.  and meighan of my love for you... has the best taste in art and design.  her blog makes me happy.
